What is Panther Success?

Panther Success is a class focused on study skills using AVID strategies and service learning. In this class the students will be learning about organizational skills, study skills, reading skills, teamwork, and using technology properly and appropriately for school and home use. During the students time with me the will complete two majors projects: a reading summative (which they will work on weekly) and a college project (where they will research a college of their choice and what it takes to be accepted into the college or university).

Biography

My name is Amy Nowaczyk and I teach Panther Success for 7th grade and am a co-sponsor for Student Council. I graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha in May of 2014. This is my first year teaching with the Omaha Public School District and for Morton! I am very excited to start this journey as a Morton Panther

Before teaching I was a NCAA Division I baseball scout for University of Mississippi, University of North Carolina, and Texas Christian University. During that time I was able to travel the United States and meet people from all walks of life. I also taught dance for 15 years of my life at Cherrie Anderson School of Music of Dance. During my time with Cherrie Anderson I taught an age range from preschoolers to high school seniors.
